There is always lots of comings and goings at Buckley House, read on to find out more about our recent big news!
We are looking forward to holding our Practice Open Day on Sunday 10th September where will be opening our doors to the general public to enable you to come in and see what really goes on behind the scenes, meet our super staff and see our fabulous facilities!
There will be lots of fun and games and the opportunity for you join in with surgery (?!), pets corner and meet a real-life guide dog!
We will also be judging the entries for our Pet Portrait Competition (Age Group 8 and under, and Over 8), - The winner will receive a goody bag for their pet and their portrait will be framed and displayed in the waiting room! So if you know any budding artistes get them to send in their pictures by Sat 9th September.
Any proceeds made from our Open Day will be going to charity, and also given in support of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Charity Challenge.
One of our super-fit veterinary nurses Katherine Harker and one of our not so super-fit veterinary surgeons, Jonathan Hadley will be taking part in a charity 10km run, 10km cycle and 5km canoe around the mountains of Wales in aid of the Guide Dogs For the Blind Charity.
As part of the challenge Mr Oliver has agreed that if we raise enough money he will shave his head and beard so we really must try our best to meet our target!!! (He's also agreed to let the practice nurses shave it off!)
Please come and see us on the Open Day and show your support - its looking to be a really enjoyable day!
Other news this year is that Buckley House was successful in a competition for Practice Design organised by The Veterinary Times and the British Veterinary Hospitals Association.
We won against strong competition with the judges being impressed by the use of space, the efficiency and the detail of the building and its function. Well Done to Mr Oliver!
